Who this racket suits
The classic Pro Cup with textured faces. Same round Lamperti mould, HR3 core, aluminised fibreglass and carbon frame as the Pro Cup Coorp, with a raised texture on both faces so the ball grips the racket for slice and spin.
How it plays. Like a Pro Cup, with bite. Padelful's review of the previous version (the 2025 Rough Surface Edition) scored it 9.1 for control and 8.9 for sweet spot — fractionally ahead of the smooth Coorp — and 7.9 for power. Owners praised its control, comfort and durability; the common criticism was a lack of power, and one reviewer found the handle on the short side. A European retailer's lab test rated its feel soft.
What's new for 2027. The build carries over from the Rough Surface Edition; the name is shortened and the design updated. Smartstrap with replaceable cord fitted. No VCS — that system is reserved for NOX's Luxury rackets.
Where it sits. The Pro Cup Silver is the light, smooth-faced version, and Lamperti's ML10 Ventus Control 3K is his carbon racket. The Equation Soft is NOX's round improver racket with textured faces and a soft core. In stock now, compare the adidas RX Series and the Hirostar Solar, both round control rackets.
Is this the racket for you?
- Yes if you play a Pro Cup and slice your bandejas, chip your returns or want more control of the ball off the glass. Like the Coorp, it suits anyone from a first proper racket to an intermediate control player.
