Until recently South East Queensland had a single padel club, at Carrara. Today there are six venues open, a seventh opening this month, and the count changes monthly — October alone should add three, at Burleigh Heads, Brisbane Airport and Meadowbrook. Brisbane got there first, the Gold Coast has the most venues, and the Sunshine Coast has quietly built the best indoor courts in the state. The three cities are different enough that each has its own page; this one is the map.
Gold Coast — three open, five coming
Padel Gold Coast at KDV Sport in Carrara (six floodlit outdoor courts, the original club, Australia's national coach on staff), Racquet Club at Robina Town Centre (seven open-air courts, opened 1 September 2026) and one indoor court at House of Pickle in Currumbin Waters. Coming: four outdoor courts at PadlX Burleigh Heads in October, eight indoor at PadlX Arundel in November, and eight more indoor at Padhaus in Molendinar, with Parkwood and Coomera announced. The Pan Pacific Masters Games plays padel at Carrara on 13–15 November.

Brisbane — two open, two opening in October
Padel Brisbane at The Gap (four outdoor floodlit courts, the city's first club) and Gizmo Courts at Underwood on the southside. In October the same operator as The Gap opens four outdoor courts at Landers Pocket by Brisbane Airport, and Padel Logan opens four at Meadowbrook Golf Club. MATCH Padel Club in South Brisbane and Padelo are announced with no dates. Every Brisbane court is outdoor for now.

Sunshine Coast — the indoor capital
Ace Padel Clubs at Forest Glen has four indoor courts, four European coaches and $20-a-game demo rackets; Padelground, a few hundred metres away, is opening seven indoor courts (including a singles court) with a sauna and cold plunge this month. PadelClubhouse at Baringa is announced. Eleven indoor courts in one suburb is more than Brisbane and the Gold Coast have between them until Arundel opens.

"Open" means the venue's own site or booking platform was taking bookings on 15 September 2026. Court numbers are the venue's own figures where published. Nothing north of the Sunshine Coast is open or announced — Toowoomba, Townsville, Cairns, Mackay and Rockhampton have no padel courts, and Padelo's Cairns club has no site or date. Ipswich, Moreton Bay and the Redlands have nothing yet either.
Playing competitively in Queensland
The most accessible real tournament in the state is on the Gold Coast: padel at the Pan Pacific Masters Games, 13–15 November 2026 at KDV Sport in Carrara, with men's, women's and mixed doubles in 35+, 45+ and 55+ brackets. Open entry, no ranking required, and entries close 16 October 2026.

Which brands to buy where
Worth knowing before you go shopping, because nobody else will tell you.
Every club pro shop buys through its own wholesale account, which means it goes deep on one or two brands rather than wide across the market. Which brands depends entirely on the club — around Australia you will find adidas, Bullpadel, Head, Wilson and StarVie clubs, and plenty that do not publish what they carry at all.
If the brand you want is the one on your club's wall, buy it there. You get to pick the racket up and hit with it before you pay, and no website can compete with that.
