adidas RX Series Light 2026 Padel Racket

The adidas RX Series Light 2026 is the light version of adidas's intermediate round racket — the same frame as the RX Series 2026, 15g lighter at 345–360g. Round head, even balance, centred sweet spot, a fibreglass face over the soft EVA core, and a Structural Power fibre insert in the heart that stiffens the frame where a fibreglass racket usually goes soft. It is the racket for the player who has done a season on a beginner frame and wants something quicker in the hand without paying carbon money.

How the family plays. No tester had published a score for the Light at the time of writing, so the numbers below are for the standard-weight RX Series 2026, which shares every part except the weight. Padel Racket Lab scored it 7.8/10 (May 2026 — control 8.1, comfort 7.9, sweet spot 7.9, forgiveness 7.8, manoeuvrability 7.6, power 7.0) and place it with “early intermediate players who want a control-focused racket”. Padelful's panel is cooler at 7.0 (rebound 7.5, control 7.0, sweet spot 7.0, manoeuvrability 6.9, power 6.8): easy ball exit, comfortable in defence, stable at the net, limited smash power and a soft, muted feedback. Take 15g off that frame and you get the same character with quicker hands and a little less stability on the block volley — which is exactly who the Light is for.

Where it sits. Below it in the adidas range is the Drive (beginner, no Structural Power insert, $169) and the Match Light (beginner, all-round shape, $159). Above it, the next round racket with the three stripes is the carbon Cross It Light at $419. Against other brands on our wall it lines up with the Babolat Counter Origin (lighter still, beginner) and the Counter Vertuo.

Is this the racket for you?

• Yes if you are an improving player, a lighter-built adult or a junior moving to a full-size frame, and you want a round, forgiving, arm-friendly racket that is quick at the net and priced under $200.
• No if you already generate your own pace and want the frame to add stiffness and bite — that is carbon-face territory (Metalbone Team for attack, Cross It Light for control) — or if you prefer the extra stability of the standard 360–375g RX Series.
