New South Wales has more padel courts than any other state, and more under construction. It also has the one venue everything else gets measured against — ten courts at Alexandria. Here is the full picture, by area.

Indoor Padel Australia at Alexandria is the largest padel club in Australia — open 5am to 11pm, to midnight on Friday and Saturday — and the closest thing the country has to a home of the sport. Sydney Racquet Club at Moore Park is where the old Bondi club relocated to, and it runs the only real padel league in the state. Sidewall at Marrickville is the newest inner-city club, with a super-panoramic centre court and singles at $35 a player an hour.

Padel Club Australia was Sydney's first fully indoor dual padel and pickleball venue, open to 2am Thursday to Sunday. Tribe at North Ryde is the old Padel Sydney site at Tennis World under its new operator — some directories still list both; it is one venue — with a sauna, cold plunge and $20 demo rackets credited against a purchase. The Northern Beaches club at Cromer rents rackets if you are trying the sport.
West and south-west

The west is where Sydney plays late. Play Nation and Padel Spot both run to 2am on Friday and Saturday (Padel Spot to 3am); The Padel Lounge is open 5am to 1am and its head coach, Javier Brasero, coaches the Australian women's national team. Play Nation's head coach is Sergio Rojas Tessel. Padel Point at Bankstown has Jubo panoramic courts with AI cameras, a sauna and an ice bath — it is also an online padel retailer, so read its buying advice with that in mind. Padel 88 is listed by a single source with no booking page we could find; ring before you go.

The Town Padel is the only venue between the Central Coast and the Gold Coast — a long stretch of coast with one padel club on it, and it has its own page. La Palma is the only one on the Central Coast, and House of Pickle at Albion Park is the Illawarra's only padel; Wollongong itself has nothing open or announced. Albury has two, which is two more than most regional cities.
Opening soon
Bounce Padel Club at Botany — six indoor super-panoramic courts, clubhouse bar, sauna and ice bath — has a live Playtomic page while its own site still lists its launch as coming soon; treat it as soft-launching and confirm before travelling. Padel Athletic at Matraville says late 2026. Tribe has seven indoor courts at Gateshead, Newcastle at development-application stage with Lake Macquarie Council, plus Byron Bay announced. Racquet Club lists a North Shore site as coming with no address. Place of Padel at Wetherill Park, The Rally Club at Prospect and Padel District at South Granville are listed as coming by one source with no dates, websites or council records we could find — we mention them so you know the names, not because they are close.
Playing competitively in Sydney
Sydney has the only proper padel league on the east coast. Sydney Racquet Club runs Division 1 and Division 2 — nine teams, ten rounds, self-scheduled off-peak matches, around $150 a player for a ten-week season, with a 2.5 rating minimum. Padel Point at Bankstown runs weekly King & Queen of the Court, americanos, mix-in nights for players without a regular four, and four seasonal competitions split into A, B and C divisions. The Sydney Opera House hosted an invitational exhibition in August 2026 with Pat Rafter and Todd Woodbridge; it was a show, not a ranking event, and talk of a Premier Padel round in Sydney in 2027 is unconfirmed.

Which brands to buy where
Every club pro shop buys through its own wholesale account, which means it goes deep on one or two brands rather than wide across the market. Which brands depends entirely on the club — around Australia you will find adidas, Bullpadel, Head, Wilson and StarVie clubs, and plenty that do not publish what they carry at all.
If the brand you want is the one on your club's wall, buy it there. You get to pick the racket up and hit with it before you pay, and no website can compete with that.
