adidas padel rackets in Australia — how the range works
adidas padel is a licence: the rackets are designed and made by All For Padel in Spain under the adidas name, which is why the range has its own identity rather than borrowing from adidas tennis. Its identity is the Metalbone — the octagonal frame with a rail down the profile and screws in the head that let you set your own weight, and the racket Ale Galán has played through four generations. Around it sit the Adipower and Cross It lines we do not currently range, and the Drive, the entry racket. The three Metalbones
All three share a mould: 38mm, a Carbon Aluminized 16K face, 485cm² of hitting area, the long Extra Power Grip handle and the Weight & Balance System, which takes up to 11.2g of screws in the head. The Metalbone 2026 is the diamond with the EVA Soft Performance core — the attacking frame with the larger sweet spot and more trampoline, and the one most club attackers should buy. The Metalbone HRD+ 2026 is the same racket with adidas's high-density EVA High Memory core: harder, drier and more precise, the one Galán competes with, and strictly for advanced players — Padel.how scored it 70/100 with comfort 6 and a note about fatigue over long sessions. The Drive
The Drive 2026 (also in blue) is a round, fibreglass-faced, soft-cored beginner racket with a 519cm² face and no pretensions. Three independent testers agree it is forgiving, muted and easy, and that you will outgrow it — which is exactly what a first racket should be. If you want the adidas name on a racket for under $200, this is it.
Balls, grips, tape and bags
The Speed RX is the fast, high-bounce adidas ball and the one the brand put on the Premier Padel tour in Dubai; adidas do not publish a FIP approval for it, so for sanctioned events buy the Dunlop Pro or NOX Nerbo. The overgrips are the tacky micro-perforated polyurethane wrap adidas fit to their own rackets, in black and white three-packs. The Antishock protection tape is a 3M-backed frame strip — note that adidas say it does not fit the Metalbone line. The Multigame 2026 is the 58-litre, four-racket bag with thermal compartments; the Tour 3.4 is the 54-litre outgoing model at a clearance price while it lasts.
What adidas's technology names mean
Weight & Balance System is the set of screws and washers you fit to the head to move the balance. Power Groove is the rail moulded into the profile for rigidity. Octagonal Structure and Low Poly describe the faceted frame. Spin Blade is the textured decal on the face. Smart Holes Curve is the drilling pattern.
