adidas Metalbone Carbon 2026 Padel Racket

The adidas Metalbone Carbon 2026 is the Metalbone for people who want the shape and the frame without the pro-level price or the pro-level stiffness. Same diamond mould, same octagonal carbon tube, same Low Poly heart and the same long Extra Power Grip handle as the Metalbone 2026 — but with a Carbon 6K face instead of Carbon Aluminized 16K, and adidas's soft EVA core underneath it.

What the 6K face changes. In adidas's own fibre ladder, Carbon 6K sits two steps more flexible than the aluminised 16K on the flagship. More flex means more ball release on slow shots and a warmer, less jarring contact; what you give up is the last bit of stiffness that turns a full-speed smash into a winner. For most club attackers that is a good trade — the flagship's stiffness is the thing reviewers keep warning intermediate players about.

What it does not have. Two things the top three Metalbones carry are not listed on this model in adidas's 2026 spec sheet: the Weight & Balance System (the removable head screws) and the Power Groove rail. The Carbon plays at its listed 360–375g, full stop. If tuning your own balance matters to you, the Metalbone CTRL 2026 at $499 is the cheapest Metalbone with the screws.

Who it suits. adidas call it “pro level” but the honest read is advanced-intermediate and up: an attacking player who wants a head-heavy diamond with a high sweet spot and a forgiving face, at 360–375g. It is the natural step up from the Metalbone Team (fiberglass) and the step below the flagship.

Is this the racket for you?

• Yes if you attack, you want the Metalbone silhouette and shape, and you would rather have comfort and a bigger sweet spot than the stiffest face money can buy. The comparable diamonds on our wall are the Tecnifibre Bomba Soft and the Siux Diablo Pro.
• No if you want adjustable weights (CTRL or the flagship), if you defend more than you attack (a round frame like the Cross It Light), or if 360g+ feels heavy in your hand.
