Padel Overgrip (3 pack) — White

Three adidas overgrips in white, the same polyurethane overgrip the brand supplies with its Metalbone rackets. Micro-perforated so it breathes and soaks up sweat, tacky enough that you can hold the racket loosely — which is the point of an overgrip in Queensland humidity — and cushioned enough to take the edge off a hard frame.

Why three. An overgrip is a consumable. Once the tack goes and the surface polishes it stops doing its job and you start squeezing, which is how forearm pain begins. Regular players replace theirs every two to four weeks; a three-pack is a couple of months. Change it when it looks shiny, not when it falls apart.

Fitting it. Start at the butt of the handle with the tapered end, overlap each turn by a few millimetres as you spiral up, keep it tight and wrinkle-free, and finish with the tape supplied.
