Antishock Padel Racket Protection Tape — Black

adidas's frame protector — a 37cm strip of 0.5mm polyurethane on 3M adhesive that sits over the top edge of the head and takes the wall, the floor and your partner's frame so the paint and carbon underneath don't. This is the black version, the discreet one that also hides existing scuffs.

Read this before you buy it for a Metalbone. adidas state the Antishock tape is not compatible with the Metalbone line (any model) or the Adipower Multiweight — the octagonal frame and the moulded protector those rackets ship with don't take a flat strip. It suits the Drive, the rest of the adidas range, and most standard padel frames from other brands. If your Metalbone's factory tape needs replacing, ask us.

Fitting it. Clean and dry the frame, find the centre of the strip and the centre of the head, press down from the middle outwards around the contour, and leave it an hour before you play. Replace it when the edges lift or after a serious knock — it is the cheapest insurance in the sport.
