Babolat Technical Origin+ 2026 Padel Racket

The Babolat Technical Origin+ is a diamond built from soft materials: 355g (345–365g), a fibreglass Soft Fiber face, a hybrid carbon and fibreglass frame and an EVA core. Babolat aim it at attacking players who want easy, comfortable power without giving up control, and single out intermediate players for its forgiveness. Babolat's own balance figures disagree: the US page gives 270mm and both descriptions say the balance is high, while the UK page labels it even. We list it as high.

How it plays. padel.how scores it 68/100 (September 2026), led by power on demand and comfort at 8.5 and sweet spot at 8, against spin 4.5 and stability 5.5. Its summary: easy pace and depth from compact swings, a broad sweet spot and a soft, comfortable feel, with easier volleys and overheads than a performance carbon diamond. The costs are limited spin, weaker stability off centre, moderate power at high swing speeds and a head weight that tires you in long defensive rallies. Padelful has not rated it yet.

The technology. Soft Fiber is Babolat's flexible fibreglass face, for easy power, comfort and forgiveness. The Hybrid Frame combines carbon's stiffness and low weight with fibreglass flex. Babolat list no rough or 3D texture on the face, so expect less spin than on the Technical Veron or Viper. We flag it arm-friendly because Babolat build and market it for comfort; it is still a head-heavy diamond, and no racket is a treatment.

Where it sits. Above it in the Technical line are the Technical Veron 3.0, which adds carbon to the face and a stability bar, and the Technical Viper Soft 3.0. Is this the racket for you?

• Yes if you are an improving player who wants to start finishing points with a diamond, but a stiff carbon face is still too much for your contact or your arm.
• No if you rely on spin, if you mostly defend (the Counter Origin or the Counter Veron 2.6), or if you already hit hard and consistently (the Technical Veron 3.0).
