Who this racket suits
Aránzazu Osoro's racket, and the control option in NOX's Ventus range. A round head on a firm, layered core with a 12K carbon face, built for the player who wins points by placing the ball rather than hitting through it.
How it plays. Controlled and steady. Padelful's 2027 review scored it 9.1 for control and 9.1 for manoeuvrability, with a broad sweet spot (8.8) that makes blocks and defence easy, and precise bandejas and víboras. They were candid about what it doesn't do: power scored 7.0, depth from the back of the court is limited, and flat smashes lack finish. A European retailer's lab test rated it the softest-feeling frame in the 2027 Ventus line, though NOX themselves rate it medium-hard.
What's new for 2027. The shape, MLD Black EVA core, 12K carbon face and weight carry over from the 2026 VK10 Ventus Control 12K. Two things are new: NOX's VCS anti-vibration layer bonded inside the handle (NOX claim up to 56% less impact reaching the wrist than the previous generation), and Weight Balance — 2g and 4g weights that let you add up to 8g to tune the balance, new to the Ventus range this year.
Where it sits. Miguel Lamperti's Ventus Control 3K is the other round control racket in the line, firmer this year on a high-density core, and Edu Alonso's Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtrem is the all-court teardrop. Round control rackets in stock now: the Hirostar Solar and the adidas Metalbone CTRL.
Is this the racket for you?
- Yes if you are an advanced or improving player with a patient, positional game who wants a carbon racket that forgives. It is Osoro's racket, but nothing about the spec is gendered.
- No if you rely on smashes to finish points: Aimar Goñi's Ventus Attack 12K Xtrem is the Ventus line's diamond.
