Babolat Viper Soft Juan Lebrón 3.0 2026 Padel Racket

The Babolat Viper Soft Juan Lebrón 3.0 is the softer version of Juan Lebrón's Viper: 365g (355–375g), the same 270mm head-heavy balance, and a Soft Carbon face (a carbon twill for a gentler impact) with a Black EVA core in place of the Viper's 3K carbon and Hard EVA. Babolat aim it at competitive players with an attacking style and stress power with comfort at impact. Soft here is relative to the standard Viper: it is still a firm, head-heavy diamond.

How it plays. Padelful rates it 8.6/10 (May 2026): power 9.6, rebound and sweet spot 8.7, control 8.5 and manoeuvrability 7.6. Its write-up finds it a little less brutal than the hard version, with freer ball exit, stable volleys and a repeatable bandeja, but still head-heavy and demanding. padel.how scores it 73/100 (September 2026): power ceiling 9, power on demand and net play 8, and comfort 7 against the standard Viper's 6.5. It finds easier power at medium pace and a larger usable sweet spot than the standard Viper, in a medium-hard, physical racket that punishes late preparation.

On comfort. Babolat market it for comfort and we flag it arm-friendly on that basis, but the sites differ: padel.how puts comfort a step above the standard Viper, while Padelful does not count it as arm-friendly. If your elbow is already sore, a round racket is the safer choice. The Dynamic Stability System is a reinforced bar through the heart, and 3D Spin is a raised pattern on the face for spin. Babolat's Spanish site already lists a 3.1 version.

Is this the racket for you?

• Yes if you are a high-intermediate or advanced attacker who wants Lebrón's shape with less shock than the hard Viper, and you already prepare early.
• No if your elbow is already sore: a round racket such as the Hirostar Solar or the adidas Cross It Light is kinder. Nor if you defend from the back glass most of the time.
