The Babolat Technical Viper Soft 3.0 is the Technical Viper made easier on the arm: the same diamond family and 270mm head-heavy balance at 365g (355–375g), with Babolat's Soft Carbon face (a 3K twill) for a gentler impact, and a softer Black EVA core in place of the Hard EVA and Carbon Power Layer. Babolat pitch it at aggressive players who want powerful, stable shots with comfort and manoeuvrability.

How it plays. Padelful rates it 8.6/10 (April 2026): rebound 9.1, power 8.8, sweet spot 8.7, control 8.4 and manoeuvrability 8. Its write-up describes a softer, more accessible response than the classic Viper line, with easy ball output, a forgiving sweet spot and liveliness at the net, and lists a lack of depth on lazy swings, punished off-centre hits and a head-heavy setup that tires the arm. padel.how scores it 73/100 (September 2026): power ceiling, power on demand and spin all 8, and comfort 7.5 against the Technical Viper's 5.5, with physical, head-heavy handling.

The technology. Vibrabsorb System² puts SMAC elastomers in the carbon, the core and the handle, the Dynamic Stability System is a reinforced bar through the heart, and 3D Spin+ combines raised patterns with a rough finish. Retailers describe the 3.0 Technical family's angular tip and slightly shorter handle, and put this one about 5g lighter than the standard Technical Viper. We flag it arm-friendly as the softer build; it is still a head-heavy diamond, and no racket is a treatment.

Where it sits. The Viper Juan Lebrón 3.0 is the harder, more powerful diamond, and the Viper Soft Juan Lebrón 3.0 is Lebrón's soft Viper, with the same weight, balance, face and core. Is this the racket for you?

• Yes if you are an intermediate or advanced attacker who wants diamond power with less shock than the Technical Viper, especially if you play several times a week.
• No if you want maximum smash power (the Viper Juan Lebrón 3.0 or the NOX AT10 Genius Attack 12K), quick hands at the net (the NOX AT10 Genius 12K Alum Xtrem), or the gentlest possible feel: a round racket such as the Hirostar Solar is kinder still.
