NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum 2027 Padel Racket (Agustín Tapia)

The flagship of NOX's 2027 range, from the Genius line NOX develop with Agustín Tapia. A teardrop on a firm, multilayered core with an 18K aluminised carbon face — the all-court Genius, and the version of this racket that topped one Spanish retailer's 2026 best-seller list.

How it plays. Stable, quick and forgiving for a pro frame. On the 2026 version, which shares this core, face and weight, Padelful scored it 9.6 for manoeuvrability and 9.0 for sweet spot, and PadelShop's measured test (367g) found it quick and strong at the net, with the layered core easier on the arm — their testers even felt it played rounder than a teardrop. The consistent caveat from reviewers and owners is power: it comes from your arm speed and timing rather than the racket, and "not enough power" was the most common owner complaint.

What's new for 2027. NOX describe the mould as more aerodynamic and better balanced, with a redesigned EOS Tunnel at the throat. It gains the VCS anti-vibration layer bonded inside the handle (NOX claim up to 56% less impact reaching the wrist than the previous generation), and keeps Weight Balance — 2g and 4g weights that add up to 8g. Core, face and weight are unchanged, and NOX now rate the feel medium-hard. One independent tester (the4Set) found the 2026 and 2027 rackets very hard to tell apart in a blind test: this is an evolution, not a reinvention.

Where it sits. The 2026 AT10 Genius 18K Alum, with the same core, face and weight, is in stock now. In the 2027 Genius range, the Genius Attack 18K Alum puts this face on a diamond and the Genius 12K Xtrem Lite is the light, soft teardrop. Edu Alonso's Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtrem is NOX's other advanced all-court teardrop.

Is this the racket for you?

• Yes if you are an advanced all-rounder who plays from both the back and the net, values control and a big sweet spot, and generates your own pace.
• No if you want easy power from the back of the court: the firmer Genius 12K Alum Xtrem gives more pop.
