Great range and prices. Struggled to find somewhere that was a one stop shop. Glad I stumbled across this store and having a local click and collect is a great bonus.

Who this racket suits
The Hirostar Blackstone IV is the attacking diamond of Hirostar's Pro Collection and the fourth generation of the Blackstone. Hirostar call it the most powerful racket in the Pro line: a high balance carries the weight towards the head, so the ball leaves the face heavier on volleys, viboras and smashes. 18K carbon face, a new Multi-EVA core and 360–375g, in a white finish with grey and black graphics.
What changed from the previous Blackstone. Four things, according to Hirostar and their Australian distributor. A new Multi-EVA core (layers of rubber at different densities) replaces the single Black EVA 17, for a livelier response without a harsher feel. The sweet spot is larger and more consistent, so the IV is more forgiving than last year's model. The whole hitting face is now sandy for spin, where the old model's logo was a gloss finish. And an NFC chip in the frame lets a phone confirm the racket is genuine and activate the warranty. The bridge keeps its precision openings to move air through the heart of the racket.
How it plays. Hirostar describe it as powerful, stable and direct, with the Multi-EVA taking up the vibration a firm 18K face would otherwise pass to the arm. The high balance asks for good preparation and clean timing; in return it adds weight to every overhead. We have not court-tested the IV and no independent review has been published yet, so this description comes from the manufacturer's catalogue and the distributor's notes.
Model year. This is the 2027 Blackstone IV (Hirostar code R27005), the successor to the 2025-mould Blackstone.
Is this the racket for you?
- Yes if you are an advanced attacker who finishes points at the net and wants a firm, head-heavy diamond with more forgiveness than the last Blackstone. Its twin, the Redstone IV, has the same build with a lower balance; the Alien Pro is the harder 24K option.
- No if you are still building technique or want quick hands in defence. The Redstone IV or the softer Horizon will suit you better.
