Why a beginner racket is a different tool
The rackets on this wall are round or near-round, light for their size, and built around a soft core. That combination does one job well: it makes the ball go where you meant it to while your technique is still forming. A softer core flexes on contact and pushes a mishit back over the net instead of dumping it; a rounder head keeps the sweet spot big and central so off-centre hits still feel solid. It is also the kindest set-up for an arm that is new to the swing.
What to spend, and what comes next
You do not need to spend up to start well — everything here sits in the entry band and is chosen so your first season is spent playing, not fighting the frame. When you stop framing volleys and want more pace, the intermediate rackets are the natural step up. New to all of it?
